On March 10th, we had the chance to take part in an important online meeting within the framework of the EDI-FORJUV project — an initiative focused on supporting youth workers and improving work with vulnerable young people across Europe.
The meeting was hosted by Innetica and brought together a strong team of international partners, including:
ASOCIATIA PRO DEMOCRATIA CLUB BUZAU
EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION SINGLE MEMBER P.C.
Orizzonti Social Cooperative Society
What Did We Work On?
The session focused on Work Package 2 (WP2), a key part of the project that aims to ensure youth workers are well-equipped to support vulnerable youth.
Two main activities were on the agenda:
1. Selecting Youth and Social Workers & Preparing Training Tools
One of the first priorities is to identify professionals already working with young people and vulnerable groups in our communities. This step is essential to ensure that the future training materials and resources will meet real-life needs . At the same time, we are working on the creation of a curriculum and a course manual designed to strengthen the capacity of youth workers. These tools aim to provide practical guidance and knowledge for professionals working in challenging environments.
2. Developing the Curriculum Group
To shape a high-quality curriculum, we are setting up a Curriculum Group – a team of experts and practitioners who will collaborate to finalize the educational content. This group will ensure that the materials are practical, relevant, and adaptable to different realities in youth work.
Why Is This Important?
Today, youth workers play a crucial role in supporting young people facing vulnerability — whether due to social, economic, or personal challenges. However, these professionals often lack structured training and updated resources to address complex issues.Through EDI-FORJUV, we aim to bridge that gap by offering targeted training materials that focus on inclusion, empowerment, and effective youth work strategies.
What's Next?
We are moving forward with clear action points and collaboration. Our next online meeting is scheduled for April 14th at 10:00 a.m. CET, where we will continue refining the curriculum and selecting the right people to take part in the training.
Stay tuned for updates as we build a stronger support system for youth workers and create better opportunities for vulnerable young people.
