Training in Vienna | Day 8: Bringing It All Together – Advanced Editing and Finalizing 3D Models

On Day 8 of our photogrammetry training in Vienna, participants focused on the advanced editing and refinement of their 3D models as they moved closer to completing their final projects. With a solid collection of captured data, today’s sessions guided them through turning their raw images into polished, accurate, and engaging 3D assets, ready for educational use.

The morning began with a workshop on Advanced Editing Techniques. Participants revisited and enhanced their 3D models, applying intricate adjustments to clean, smooth, and detail each object. They explored advanced tools for removing artifacts, correcting inconsistencies, and improving model structure, ensuring every element was both accurate and visually compelling. This session emphasized the finer aspects of editing, as participants perfected their models to meet high educational standards.

Next, they delved into Texture Optimization and Quality Enhancement, where they learned methods for refining and applying realistic textures. They explored different techniques to enhance details, such as adjusting surface properties and using lighting simulations to bring out textures.
