As of today, August 11, 2024, we proudly mark the successful completion of our intensive training program on photogrammetry and the creation of three-dimensional digital educational content. Hosted in the picturesque city of Vienna, this 10-day training course has been a transformative experience for all participants, empowering them with the skills to innovate in the field of digital education.
The Program at a Glance
The training, titled "Practical Training for Photogrammetry Trainers: Creating 3D Digital Educational Content," was a part of the Erasmus+ program, under contract No2023-1-BG01-KA121-ADU-000120967 and Accreditation No2022-1-BG01-KA120-ADU-000111047. This initiative, financially supported by Erasmus+, brought together professionals from various backgrounds to explore the intersection of photogrammetry and education.
Participants were immersed in a meticulously designed curriculum that covered everything from the basics of photogrammetry and photography to the complex processes of creating and editing 3D models. Each day was packed with both theoretical knowledge and practical exercises, ensuring that the concepts learned were immediately put into practice.
The program began on July 29, 2024, with an introduction to the history, development, and fundamental principles of photogrammetry. Over the course of the training, participants gained hands-on experience with industry-standard software like Agisoft Metashape, RealityCapture, and Meshroom, learning how to import data, process images, and generate high-quality 3D models. They also delved into the intricacies of 3D model editing, enhancing the quality of their creations and preparing them for integration into educational content.
By the end of the training, each participant had successfully completed a project that involved creating a 3D model and developing educational content around it. This included the preparation of interactive virtual lessons based on 360-degree panoramic images, a skill set that is increasingly valuable in modern educational environments.
