This morning partners from across Europe met at European School Brussels IV for the final transnational meeting of the S.P.Q.R. – Schools and the People of Europe project, co-funded by Erasmus+. With the formal agenda now complete, here’s a quick look back at what we achieved today and over the life of the project.
Today’s Wrap-Up
Project ReviewWe shared engagement figures, heard directly from teachers and students, and reflected on how our tools have been used in classrooms.
Dissemination DemosESB IV opened its doors to pupils, parents and staff for hands-on sessions with our VR experiences and 360° storytelling modules.
Youth Network LaunchWe officially kicked off the S.P.Q.R. Youth Network. Student ambassadors will organize future meetups, webinars and local history events to keep the project’s spirit alive even after Erasmus+ funding ends.
Looking Back on the Journey
Over the past two years we’ve:
Built VR experiences that let students “visit” the Forum, the Colosseum and other iconic Roman sites.
Created 360° storytelling modules that bring Roman history to life with interactive media.
Developed teacher toolkits—lesson plans, activity guides and assessments—tailored to partner countries’ curricula.
What’s Next
Although today’s meeting closes our Erasmus+ funding period, it’s not the end.
The S.P.Q.R. VR platform stays freely available to schools across Europe.
The S.P.Q.R. Youth Network will grow through national chapters and online events, ensuring teachers and students can keep exploring Rome’s legacy together.
A huge thank-you to European School Brussels IV for hosting us today, and to all partners for their creativity and hard work. Stay tuned for final updates on our VR modules and details on how to join the Youth Network!
