Sofia, Bulgaria — 12 October 2025. Her Regal Majesty (HRM) AMD. Dr. Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi, held a two-hour informal introductory working meeting in Sofia with the team of Interactive Bulgaria Foundation, led by Chairman Ivan Velkov. The meeting was initiated by Mr. Anton M. SamsonovBulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry representative for Africa and coordinator for the Balkans at Jet Age Nation Builders—and attended by Ambassador Yanko Yordanov (former Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Federal Republic of Nigeria).

Focus and opportunities

The dialogue centered on practical cooperation in school and non-formal education, including:

  • Digital skills and youth entrepreneurship programmes;

  • Integrating 360-degree / virtual-reality resources into lessons and project-based learning;

  • Teacher training and capacity building;

  • Support for girls and young women from vulnerable communities.

Programmes presented from Nigeria

Her Regal Majesty outlined programmes of the Hopes Alive Initiative for Africa (under the aegis of the court of the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II), where Her Regal Majesty serves as Deputy Convener. Highlights include:

  • "She-Levate Tech" Digital Empowerment Bootcamp—a girl-focused technology training launched in Lagos to equip young women with market-relevant digital skills.

  • OJAJA Fashion Training Institute—free vocational fashion-design training supported by Hopes Alive Initiative for Africa, with ongoing cohorts and graduations.

  • Public health and social initiatives—Her Regal Majesty serves as Malaria Elimination Advocate for Southwest Nigeria in collaboration with the National Malaria Elimination Programme.

These practices provide a concrete basis for exchanges with Bulgarian schools and communities—especially around girls’ access to STEM, entrepreneurship, and future-skills learning.
